Who we are

Madison Ave Coffee, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Contact: admin@madisonavecoffee.com or 0413 311 237. This policy covers madisonavecoffee.com. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, phone, delivery address and what you bought. We need these to send the coffee and the tax invoice.
• Payment: handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us; we see only the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded.
• When you send an enquiry: whatever you type into the form, plus your email and, if you give it, your phone and business name.
• When you create an account: your login details and order history, so you can reorder and track deliveries.
• Automatically: standard web analytics (pages viewed, device type, rough location from your IP address) through Google Analytics, and the cookies WooCommerce needs to keep a cart and a login working.

What we use it for

• Fulfilling and delivering orders, and sending order and delivery emails.
• Replying to enquiries and, for wholesale, sending prices and samples.
• Emailing you when subscriptions open, if you asked us to.
• Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Meeting legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t send marketing email unless you asked for it. You can unsubscribe from anything we send with one click.

Who else sees it

Only the services we need to run the shop: our web host (Hostinger), our payment processor (Stripe), delivery carriers (name and address on the parcel), our email provider, and Google Analytics. Some of these store data outside Australia. We don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

The site uses cookies to keep your cart and login working, and analytics cookies to count visits. You can block cookies in your browser; the cart and checkout will stop working if you block all of them.

Your choices

Email us to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We’ll do it within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices. If you think we’ve handled your information badly, tell us first; if we can’t resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
